403 Forbidden Error Page

Whenever I try to press the 'Contact Support' links on the Apple Support page or any link associated with contacting Apple for support, it leads me to another tab with the message:

I have seen countless others on Apple Discussions that have had these problems, but none of their possible solutions worked for me.

Is this a server issue that I just have to wait to be fixed or was I blocked for some reason from entering the page?

I don't understand why this is happening because only the same morning that it happened, it was working fine and I could enter the pages as normal.

I can't even contact Apple Support on this matter because I can't access the page.

Parental Controls on your LAN:

Being blocked out might happen due to Parental Controls on your router. So, log in to the router, seeing if there are any parental controls disallowing access to this domain. You would log into the router using the Default Gateway (192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the browser. Login, and see what Parental Control settings reside in regards to this Domain that is not working.

Did you Create a New Administrator?:

Also, create a new Administrator User on your Mac, seeing if that makes all the difference. If it does work, then it is something misconfigured in your current user. So, transfer everything over to the new user, and then delete this current user.

Coronavirus “Taking Over” Broadband:

Many are working out of their house at the moment, and many kids are at home playing video games through the Internet. So, there may just not be enough resources for particular sites to load. Remember... There is only so much that Broadband can handle.

Can you each tell us what country you are in? That might help us find a clue.

We are your fellow end users here but there is a lot of experience represented. While we work on the issues I suggest you see if this link works and use it:

Contact Us - Website Feedback - Apple

Use the first option in the pulldown menu. It allows you to report web issues directly to Apple. They will not see problem reports posted in user forums..

You're not being allowed into the site. So, try the following:

Go Here: Clear your History: Cookies and Caches - Apple Discussions

Once cleared, refresh the page.

If that does not work, then use another Web browser (Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome).

Restart your Router:

If you are using a Public LAN (Local Area Network), then use a Private LAN (your home LAN). Too much network traffic may be taking place at the moment. Lots are working out of their house at the moment, and kids are home from school playing games. Remember --- there is only so much that Broadband can handle.

Create a new account on your Mac:

If it works, then it is something mis-configured in your current user. You are able to get into the Apple Discussion Forums, so (if the same account) obviously your account is not down.

Thank you for the updates!

Single Out this Mac:

Is this only occurring on your Mac? Try using another device and seeing if you can access the site with it. That would single out your MacBook Pro.

The Ultimate Solution - Reinstall the MacOS:

  • Back up your Mac:

Start by Creating a Time Machine backup of your Mac, that way you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall.

  • Reinstall the macOS:

Nothing would be deleted. It's just that any times whosoever that have become corrupted or deleted, would be placed back to where they should be, respectively. Go Here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support.

Thank you. Me too, and am not getting an error using Safari 13.1 under OS 10.14 Mojave, but I tried the "Contact Support" link at the top right of this page and that worked. What browser?

I can't use Twitter because I don't have an account and I don't plan to make one anytime soon.

Understand 100 proof. I don't do Twitter or "InYourFacebook"! If I want to listen to people rudely arguing, I can go to a bar—well, I could before COVID.

I found the US version of the link you posted and got through there too. Then I got through after loading the AUS version of the site.

You won't hear back from a feedback link unless the Apple person on the other end needs a followup.

What browser are you using? If this persists, you may wish to contact Apple AUS:

For both:

I asked about your locations because we are seeing a number of posts here from people living in counties without an Apple presence who have trouble contacting support through the web. Now we know that is not the cause of your issues.

I think The Littles has a good idea in suggesting clearing browsing data.

Please understand that no one from Apple responds here. We are other end users trying to get you going again, and this subject is definitely not my long suit--I'm more of the Hardware Guy.

True, relating back to TheLittles' solution of restarting the router, I think that might work. CheyenneNoelle moved away from her grandma's router to her mum's, so that is like a 'restart'. I have a Private LAN and there are only 5 people in my house that don't use the Wi-fi that much or at the same time, but it could be because Apple just blocked the entire thing anyway. I checked just then and it was the same. Is there a way to tell Apple to unblock it?

Recently my school email was blocked because someone overseas was trying to hack into it, so maybe Apple detected some funny business and blocked me from their server too.

I already cleared up the school block with IT and they had to contact Microsoft. Maybe with this issue I have to contact Apple directly.

Do Your Part:

Provide Apple With Feedback of This:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - Safari - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Proceed from there as necessary

Report this Using: reportphishing@apple.com

The more feedback Apple receives of this, the more they will know what is going on, and be able to determine the differences between many reports. If you want to, you can send Apple a picture of this. Though nothing of a phishing report, use their phishing report eMail address to show this screenshot to them: reportphishing@apple.com

Hi, this is actually coming from a person that has this issue too. I think they blocked our ip addresses? They claim to have no power to do so but i'm not exactly sure. If you go on the website alot it might have been too much for the system to handle and went to error everytime you go on it. Try clearing your cache? (history) i've done it and i'm still getting the 403 error i'm not sure.

Mar 28, 2020 4:26 AM in response to CheyenneNoelle

Hi CheyenneNoelle!

Yeah, I think that may be the case. Did you contact them and did they say they had no power to do so? Apparently they deny everything. I did go on the website a lot because I had a problem with my printing and was searching for online support. Maybe they locked me out because of that.

Are you still locked out too? I still am, I just checked.

I also already tried clearing my history but it still has the same message like you said.

I'm in Australia.

Your link works, I used that yesterday to report to Apple about it. I still haven't received a reply from them.

I also tried the other contact links that weren't working yesterday. They still weren't working.

I can't use Twitter because I don't have an account and I don't plan to make one anytime soon.

These are the contact links that lead me to the error pages:
