If you have distorted Sound issue on your iPhone --> If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad

If the other person is not able to listen to you then please click this--> If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't ...

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support

I have all of these same problems. I also have another Iphone 7 owned by my business and I forgot to tell my employee not to update ios as that seems to trigger this problem. She did update and lost all carrier service. We called Apple about this since hers was even more useless than mine and they admitted that they have an issue with hardware and it's common on the iPhone 7 and they are fixing it for free. Again, her issue was not the same as mine and when I called back to explain my issue they said "sorry that's hardware, it's absolutely not fixable by apple, requires micro-soldering that is rarely successful and the best we can do is trade yours in plus $319 for another iphone 7 that will have no warranty" (the new SE is darn near that price so why in the world would I do that?) I explained that there are literally a thousand iphone 7s on this community page and one other (about video playback on safari) that have had this problem in the last 45 days and they all started with an ios update. He assured me that the ios update did not cause the problems. Personally, I got 3 years out of the phone and will probably get another Apple phone, but I 100% believe that they knowingly or unknowingly junked my phone through updates. I hope that this problem gets brought up to the right people and if it takes a media firestorm like the old battery controversy, I hope they have to pay for it in the end. I'll be setting my iphone7 in a drawer and hoping to cash it in for something when this blows up on them.

I am having this issue. I have an iPhone 7 and recently updated to the new 13.4.2 iOS. It was hot this morning and after I turned it off to cool down, it appeared to resolve itself however now it is the evening and I am having the same issue again.

I am also having issues with the battery draining, scrolling glitches, issues with the camera loading to forward facing. I can’t engage Siri, it takes forever for the call to connect and then when it appears to have connected I can’t hear anything. Someone tried to call me and it didn’t appear that I picked up on the other end but I had picked up the call but couldn’t hear anything. Speakerphone is grey’d out. I get no error messages when trying to make a voice memo, it just doesn’t do anything when I press the record button. I had issues with connecting to any speaker (google home or Sonos) yesterday via Bluetooth and had lagging and play issues on the Spotify app. While using Instagram my phone overheats.

These issues appear to come and go over the days, it’s not a constant issue but it’s a relatively new host of issues.

Indeed. I spent a long time with support last night to resolve these issues. Originally I was told software and then I was told hardware. All sorts of problems came to light within the last week, including the problems with video play back this morning. I had to order a new phone since it’s useless as a phone now without the ability to hear and be heard on calls.
