Microphone from QC35 (bluetooth headset) does not work on Windows (Bootcamp)

Hello all,

I have a MB Pro 16' from 2019 running OS X Catalina and Windows 10 (Bootcamp).

My BT Headset (QC35) works ok under OS X, both audio and microphone. But on Windows the microphone is not detected, I can only use audio.

This is probably related to this issue https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250844237?page=1.

If I use a $1 USB Bluetooth adapter and disable the built-in one then windows recognizes my phone as a Headset and I can use the Mic, but I didn't want to waste a USB port with it.

Can anyone help?

It seems like so many years that apple and microsoft are not fixing this issue.

It is so hard to fix it for apple to fix driver for its own hardware? a company that builds world's best software.

2018 MBP and have the same issue with the microphone not working on any Bluetooth headphones. Other than a dongle there still is no solution?

I nudged and pushed, and with the Apple M1 on the horizon, I am not confident that this problem will get addressed. Your nudge is still worth the effort.

I have this issue as well. I'm in desperate need for a fix. My built in microphone does not work either.
