Microphone from QC35 (bluetooth headset) does not work on Windows (Bootcamp)

Hello all,

I have a MB Pro 16' from 2019 running OS X Catalina and Windows 10 (Bootcamp).

My BT Headset (QC35) works ok under OS X, both audio and microphone. But on Windows the microphone is not detected, I can only use audio.

This is probably related to this issue https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250844237?page=1.

If I use a $1 USB Bluetooth adapter and disable the built-in one then windows recognizes my phone as a Headset and I can use the Mic, but I didn't want to waste a USB port with it.

Can anyone help?

It is not. Apple OEM's the drivers. There is a lot of blame to go around on such issues between Apple and Microsoft.

Apple is still a **** show of a company, who refuses to support its products. Spent thousands on a MBP and I can't get Bluetooth headphones to work in Bootcamp.

They won't fix this. This issue has been going on for years. And will continue to go on for years more. Because they are too busy developing $600 knock off Chinese headphones and magnetic accessories that couldn't have passed a basic quality inspection.

Yes, that's a possible workaround, but cumbersome, especially when I need to share my Windows screen. Any timeline possible for a fix for the bluetooth drivers for Bootcamp?

The 16-in Macs have many issues, apart from the BT issues. Your third item also has a fix, if you do break it.
