After updating to ios 13.4, my iPhone 11 doesn't show up in iTunes when I connect it. I've checked USB cables etc and all okay. My iPad running ios 13.3.1 shows up without any problems. (The iphone also shows up in the Photos app when I connect it.)
I'm running iTunes 12.8.2.3 in MacOS 10.13.6
I'd be grateful for any tips!

hi all,
i finally managed to sync my iphone 11pro on ios 13.4 to my early 2011 mbp 13 inch on high sierra.
Here is how it worked.
1- uninstall itunes from your mac book( of course make a backup of your library befor doing so)
then empty the trash. And restart and re install itunes. Itunes file available on apple website.
2- there is a security update on app store 2020-002 which i had to directly download it from apple website in order to install it and keep a copy Of the file for now. Install it and restart.
3- connect your iphone without opening itunes, it will ask you for a software update for itunes in order to be compatible with your phone. Go ahead and install this update as well.
and now you should see your phone showing on iTunes.
anyone not sure about the steps ask, and i will provide links to further explain what I've done and what is the procedure exactly.

i really don't know that, mine is in the default location and it worked for me.
i have been facing this issue since iOS 13.4 but after a while i have sorted it out without any complications, and provided all i knew. this was the easiest method to fix that i could find.
I have a clone drive and do the testing there without infecting the main HD on the computer.

If this is a conscious thing on Apples part there may not be a fix coming. Let's hope it's not.
All my friends that have the same issue reported. I reported when it was iOS 13.4 and now iOS 13.4.1 The same thing
So I have big doubts that it will ever work. Bye, bye iTunes sync.

I successfully downloaded and installed the update earlier but it didn't solve the problem. If they took it offline maybe that's because there's a fix in the offing. I'm trying to stay positive.
Not just bye-bye iTunes sync. Possibly bye-bye ANY sync, unless you have a recent computer that can run Catalina.
Which OS did you have to install after that prompt?
I upgraded my work laptop to Mojave and installed the security update. Still no luck :(
It update did not install any new OS. The same High Sierra.
Yes, I did get the iTunes software warning after connecting the phone, and I got the error message that the software could not be installed.
I have NOT had any luck with the solutions posted here, unfortunately, and I’m pretty sure I’m doing it all correctly. FWIW
FMarek7, I suggest doing experimental on a clone drive. Like I did. I am yet to reinstall on my main drive.
