Area code 306 in recent calls says United States

I live in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada and my area code is 306. My iPhone lists recent 306 calls both incoming and outgoing as ‘United States’ under the number. Why or how has this occurred and how do I fix it, as area code 306 is actually in Canada.

Calls to my iPhone come up with a wrong area code My area code is 01501 but any calls to my iPhone from this area come up as Sheffield, I almost didn’t take a call from my GP. Is this an iPhone issue or my phone provider? [Edited by Moderator]

All incoming calls display same CID # and location For the last month, every incoming call I receive on my iPhone 8 shows the same phone number/location (Wisconsin) on caller ID. My recent calls never show the number though. This makes it appear every incoming call is spam; I answer only if I’m expecting a call. I’ve tried rebooting multiple times and the problem never improved and certainly didn’t resolve. And yes, I know it’s an older model device but it worked just fine until now. The Apple store and my carrier were equally unhelpful as both pointed the finger at the other. I don’t care who’s at fault; I just want it fixed so don’t have to play a cell phone version Russian roulette.

I filled out the bug report. I could not paste a screen print into it. If I were to send one to ‘report phishing’ how would they know what to do with it? This is not a phishing issue.

I have talked to both Apple and my carrier and each thinks the problem is with the other one. I will just wait and see if a new version of iOS makes it go away.

Yeah, that was my thought when I asked. Sorry, it isn’t relevant this time around. I used to live on Southern Vancouver Island, and would sometimes see cell service from Washington State.

I have this same problem and it is very frustrating. I called Sasktel and we worked through the issue and they said call Apple. Come on Apple...you can do better. Get this fixed!!!!

I talked to SaskTel who told me to call Apple. I did and didn’t get anywhere with it, that’s why I went with this group.

As expected the latest IOS version 13.5.1 has not solved the issue

I suspect it will take at least another update before this issue is fixed.

You all keep waiting for Apple to do something about this. I am still convinced this is something that your cell phone providers need to fix. But OK, wait for Apple. And before anyone says they spoke with their cell provider and they said it's Apple's issue. I'd be a lot richer if I got a nickel for every time a cellular provider suggested an issue was not theirs to solve. It happens every day. It's called, passing the buck.
