iPhone 7 froze during update from iTunes, cannot hard-restart.

I plugged my iPhone 7 into my iMac to update my phone... it started to update then froze during it and I received an error... I cant even hard-reset my phone by pressing volume and home button at same time. nothing will restart it.

It seems to swipe up, but it wants me to enter a passcode. Any of my known codes fail. The "swipe up to upgrade" screen comes on after I already attempted the push volume up, then push volume down, then hold right side in until apple appears.

updating iPhone XR phone locked latest update (7/17/20) froze at apple logo and progress bar(barely filled in). cannot shut off, turn on or have success with reboot. at beginning MAC does not see iPhone. then it does but requests an update. update fails and suggests restore. Restore. fails. eventually screen returns to apple logo and bar with apple support address and arrow suggestions.

iPhone has frozen during update Today my iPhone prompted an update when I connected it to my MacBook, I started the update but during the process the iPhone almost completed the update but then froze. I couldn't do anything with the phone as the screen was froze and wouldn't turn off or do anything. I removed the battery and now it will only turn on when connected to the MacBook. It appears now that the phone has lost all data and requires a reset but it won't even reset now.
