Beats Studio 3 Cracking

Same thing happened to me, the plastic band cracked at the base on the right side, after regular use close to 3 years, no falling or hitting or impacts on the headphones. It clearly looks like a design issue, the cups are too heavy and too big for the band to withstand the constant outside pressure when wearing them. Luckily I got mine for free with the purchase of a MacBook so I invested about 40 bucks for an original replacement band on eBay, fairly easy to replace, at least Apple didn’t try to prevent their repair like they do with so many of their products. If they break again I will probably donate them and WILL NEVER buy another Beats Solo headphones, this product should have been recalled and all those who paid for the headphones refunded

Hi we are actually also and they say it’s 200.00 for replace them, this is a joke. Why on earth are they cracking in this spot?

Hi. I have this issue on both arms. Out of warranty but obviously a latent defect. Have you approached apple to see what their attitude is ?

Same issue with mine... on my 4th pair now.... Apple definitely needs to start a repair program!! I gently use mine at night just to watch TV...

Hello... was Apple helpful with this issue? I have the exact same cracking in the exact same place with the exact same model.

$199 to fix inside housing panel, which is cracked due a defect in design. $199 to fix headphones which now cost $239 on Amazon. Ridiculous!!!

So lame. How long have you had the second pair. Yah I mean why on earth is it happening. It has to be a manufacture defect

same issue. had them 3 months, started cracking in same spot on both sides. sounds like having a big done magnifies or accelerates the issue :(

Did you contact apple support regarding this issue? What did they say?

Wow I'm still under warranty and they said it wouldn't be covered under it, and I would have to pay $279+, which really isn't worth it at this point!
