Replace iPhone to iPod for music

Hi,

I have a iPhone and AirPods, I usually go for walks and runs and carry my phone and AirPods to listen to music. I don't really like carrying my phone as it big, I'm wondering if there are any iPods that I could use to listen to music. I know that you can't use AirPods on a iPod but I can get a bluetooth receiver. I've heard that they have discontinued Apple Music on iPods (such as the iPod classic) is there a way that I could use a iPod and listen to music on Apple Music?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, eth_zac!

I understand you want to know about listening to Apple Music on an older iPod. I'd be happy to provide information about where you can use Apple Music.

This article outlines which devices support Apple Music: Listen to music and more in the Apple Music app

"You can use the Apple Music app on your iPhone or iPod touch with the latest version of iOS, iPad with the latest version of iPadOS, Mac with the latest version of macOS, or Apple TV with the latest version of tvOS. On your Android device, download the Apple Music app."

I hope this clears things up.

Have a great day!
