I can't view Sony a7r IV raw files thumbnails

I have an iMac Pro 2017 and a late 2019 MBP both on macOS 10.15.4 and I can't see the thumbnail previews of the .arw files from Sony a7r IV from the finder. I have no problem in seeing the thumbnail previews from Sony a7R III, so the issue is camera related. The Sony a7r IV is a supported camera on Catalina though, so I really don't know what to do.

Any help would be appreciated

Best regards

You're welcome. Adobe's DNG converter will batch convert them all fairly quickly but you're right, it would consume disk space. As far as an Apple fix, it most likely wouldn't occur until macOS 10.16. I don't know if it will help but XnView MP will display the photos in a gallery form without conversion.

Thanks a lot for your time and your efforts but as a working photographer I have to deal with a lot of pictures. Making a DNG for each shot would be too time consuming for my workflow. And let's not talk about the extra HDD space because I would not delete the original raws. I'll have to wait for Apple to fix the issue then. If ever...

Thanks again
