Contact GROUPS not showing in icloud but are on iphone

Once again Apple f'd it up. I ugraded to 13.4.1. After I did, 95% of my GROUP entries do not show up in iCloud. They are on the phone but not in the cloud. This happened once before, again, after an update. I remember having to reset a setting that had to do with contacts but I cannot remember where or what it was. It was buried about 3 levels down. Resetting contacts by turning contacts off/on does not work. Resetting network does not work!

Anybody got any idea what and where this setting is?

Hi dogdude1,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand you're missing contact groups when you check iCloud.com.

From what you've shared, it sounds like there may be additional accounts on your iPhone, that are actively syncing your contacts.

I'd suggest checking Settings > Contacts > Default Account to verify the current account being used by Contacts when groups are created.

You are able to control the accounts actively syncing contacts to your device by tapping Settings > Passwords & Accounts > an account you wish to change > toggle Contacts On or Off.

You'll find the above, and additional helpful information linked below.

Cheers!
