Fast fan and “battery is not charging” status

Decided to give the fan a clean and stuffed up my laptop. After wiping off the dust and reconnecting everything, I turned on the Mac air and the fan was going really fast.

Tried to do an SMC reset, however the light on my MagSafe charger didn’t appear. I turned on the laptop and the charging logo was there but the status said “battery is not charging”. I took the MagSafe charger and connected to my sister’s laptop- the light worked this time but same battery status. I reconnected the charger to mine- same status, the light works momentarily, then fades.

Any insight? Tried the PRAM reset, but that didn’t seem to do anything either. Might give it another go in the morning. Wiped my phone with disinfectant and totally destroyed that one a week ago too... I do a lot of unnecessary things

Make sure the I/O Board is connected to the Logic Board (black cable running around the fan) and make sure the I/O Flex Cable is also properly seated to the Logic Board and I/O Board. If these cables or connectors got damaged, then they will cause charging issues.

Did you remember to reconnect the battery?

If the fan runs at high speed it indicates one of the sensors is not communicating so the computer runs the fan at high speed to make sure everything stays cool.
