I ordered the 2020 MacBook Air with a custom configuration of 16 GB ram and i7 processor. My order just moved from processing to preparing to ship on Monday. How long does it usually take for it be shipped after this stage, if anyone has experience with this sort of order?
Here's how it went for me. I know when trying to research the same topic as you this is the sort of answer I was looking for.
I ordered a 27-inch iMac with a memory upgrade. The whole process took 13 days for me. I'm sure there are lots of things that can make an order take longer, but this is how it went for me.
Order Placed: July 22nd
Processing: July 23rd
Card Charged: July 25th
Preparing to Ship: July 28th
Shipped: July 29th
Delivered: August 4th
Any updates?
Update: I got an update that my macbook has shipped. New expected arrival date: April 21st.
My Ipad Pro 2021
has been marked at "preparing for shipment" for three days (going on four) ! I am more than frustrated!

I ordered the 13 inch MacBook Air with 8GB memory + 512GB storage and two engraved AirPod pros on Sunday, August 9.
The AirPods shipped out Tuesday, August 11. Estimated shipping according to FedEx is Monday, August 17. So I should be receiving them in a few days & it is a little earlier than what Apple estimated in their email (August 20-24).
My MacBook didn’t ship out until Thursday, August 13, but it arrived the following day due to next day shipping. It shipped from somewhere in Southern California, about an hour and a half away from me.
My AirPods did go through customs and luckily for me, they didn’t get stuck for too long. I’d say about two days!
me too!! I ordered my macbook August 17th and it says it’s supposed to deliver 9/9-9/14. I start school on the 10th and was hoping to get it by then. Mine still is in the processing phase and i haven’t been charged yet. I’m hoping it will come soon. I thought apple would be more on top of their shipments

Correlation does not prove causality. The only Apple employees who are reading these posts are the Hosts. All they have time to do is make sure that the posts conform to the Terms of Use.
Reading everyone’s comments is truly scaring me cause I recently put mine in on the 5th I know it’s only the 10th I’m very impatient and I need it for school Monday. I was hoping it will charge my card already but it hasn’t and hearing that people didn’t get there’s for almost 3 weeks is not good
So I am literally having the same problem as everybody else, I ordered my MBP on AUGUST 18th, and I am still in processing with a delivery window of 9/14-9/17. Which they have not even charged my card, and I NEED my laptop by Monday. Disappointed, this wasn’t even a customized laptop. It was standard smh :(
Hi! I just found out that if your order hasn’t been sent or charged yet you can cancel it and reorder it for pick up in store! They’ll even give you a refund if they charged you a little bit at first! You will have to return they AirPods in order to get the refund but you can reorder it!
I feel you! Honestly I can’t wait anymore either. It’s really annoying.
If I knew the anticipation would hit this bad, I would have just collected it from the store but even then it’s like an hour drive away from me. And I wouldn’t have been able to get personalised AirPods 😭
what Is your delivery window? If it’s the 21-28 it should move in the next couple of days but I also get that it might not cause people have said that theirs doesn’t prepare to ship until halfway through delivery window. It’s only just a hit or miss thing
I ordered my 13-inch MacBook Pro on August 24th it’s almost been a month and still no update on my order it is still “processing” and it is meant to be arriving from September 16th - 23th and today is August 17th and it’s still not even budged. I’m quite annoyed by it all that it has taken this long to get any update whatsoever. I contacted apple by chat and they didn't give me any answer about my order.
Me too, I ordered the same (base) model on the 25th of August and my estimated date of delivery was 16-23. It was stuck on processing until this morning. It moved to preparing to ship and only a few hours later I was notified that it’s now being shipped. Mine is arriving tomorrow. (I live in the Netherlands) but I’m sure yours will come soon too? Btw did you guys get free express delivery too?
Don’t worry too much. I had the same struggle. Ordered 25th of August and stayed stuck on processing. But yesterday it moved from processing to preparing to ship to actually being shipped. And I received it today!
Same I ordered mine august 30th and my expected delivery is September 23-30 it’s still processing I wonder when it will change to preparing to ship Hope it doesn’t pass the 30th ordered it for school but this is way longer than I expected should’ve bought it in stores but I saw the AirPods bundle and just decided to order it
