How long does preparing to ship take?

I ordered my iPad Pro 12.9” 256gb on 8/30. It didn’t change or update status until 9/23 when it charged my card and went from “processing” to “preparing to ship.” Hopefully will ship soon, I need to for class starting soon.

I’ve never been more annoyed with a company, and honestly never expected this. This is my first online order with Apple (due to pandemic, of course). I ordered a standard MBP on Sept 2 and it is still “Processing” as of today.

Expected delivery is Sept 25 - Oct 2.

It would really be nice just to get any type of update of any kind at this point. The silence just makes it worse.

I ordered a 16 MacBook Pro /13 days in processing then after 13 days preparing to ship then same day shipped then next day (not rlly useful just sharing my story) It was supposed to come next day my doorbell was broken they said signature not required so I expected they leave it at the door they did not it said Delivery Exception Customer Not Available Or Buissness closed I called customer support they said there system was broken and they would deliver it Monday (next day they attempted then the next day attempted then on Monday they delivered it without signature yeah

I ordered 16-inch MacBook Pro, the higher end model. All I upgraded was the graphics card to the 8GB VRAM one.

Ordered on November 14th. It's only been 5 days, but I'm seriously dying if impatience. Pretty much always happens to me. Ive taken note on the general time it takes to move to preparing to ship for customized orders and it's all over the place. I averaged it out though, and on average it takes about 13.5 days to move to preparing to ship. Though it could take as long as 24 days. I'm hoping the numbers are a little better since this is a good bit later than all the other posts. My estimated delivery is Dec 9 - 16.

I ordered on nov 22 and my expected delivery dates are dec 2- dec 8 but it is still on processing. I’ve contacted apple and they said i have some good dates but i’m just questioning if i will get it between those days since it still hasn’t moved off processing.

Ordered an M1 Macbook Air base specs on Nov. 28th with estimated arrival Dec. 8th - Dec. 15th. The status of the order has been processing and just changed to preparing to ship today.

I sent an inquiry their way late last week and the specialist on the other end said the order would definitely come in by the 15th. Will most likely come in on the 16th or 17th for me depending on how fast it goes from “preparing to ship” to “shipped”, but if the amount of processing time is anything to go by, I’m thinking it’s going to take a while longer.

did you order stock model or customize? I just ordered and added/upgraded to i5 processor.

I ordered july 9th and says arrival july 27 to aug 3rd.

I wasn’t charged until the items shipped. Since my airpods went out first I was only charged for those, then charged for my MacBook when it was shipped.

Yeah, I ordered my MacBook on August 5th and it was delivered September 3rd. It took a very long time that stressed me out but it is worth the wait if that helps anyone feel better!

I got the MacBook Pro 13 inch with 16gb of ram and 512 in storage. Which is probably why it’s taking long I guess

Mine was custom configuration - supposed to be delivered from the 17th to 24th. Somehow dispatched this morning, and in customs as of now

Me too and it officially the 3 weeks mark and haven’t had any changes

i ordered in the US. I recently contacted an agent and he told me that my mbp should come within the time range apple gave me, especially since i’m in the US.
