When I go to the main folder directly under Apple Music and scroll down to Shared Playlists, and right click on one of the Shared Playlists; I have the option to "Add to Library". Once I do this I can not find this playlist on my iMac. However it shows up on my iPhone. Does anyone know how to make the shared playlist appear in my music on my Mac?

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to add a public playlist from Apple Music to your Mac. To help with this, please check your settings and that you are following the steps in these Apple resources, as settings such as parental controls and Music > Preferences > Advanced and making sure the "Add songs to Library when adding to playlists" option is enabled:

Add a song to a playlist in Apple Music without adding it to your library
