Can't update iWatch

I cannot update my Series 2 iWatch. I have the latest release on my iPhone 6sPlus, I have restarted it. Nada. I have deleted the update and re-downloaded it. Nothing. I just get a "could not install update" message. Any ideas?

What is the latest software update for the iwatch 5? I updated my iphone 7, but can't get my iwatch 5 to update. Wondering if there was no update there. I have restarted both, hooked in to my wifi and bluetooth, but when I go to the watch app to start update, it has me check that my iphone 7 has been updated, and ends there. Sometimes it says there is an error. Do I need to make an appointment for tech support?

If the watch has a version of watchOS6 on it try this;
