Thanks for update. I think some leak with Siri that Siri or Bluetooth stay activated overnight. It would be really nice if Apple would highlight the Bugs they fix. All of these suggestions were pretty bogus. I was having the same issues. Overnight I was losing sometimes 50% of the charge. I just updated to 13.5. I turned Siri back on and I only dropped about 5%. Things look much better. Battery health is 89. iPhone se gen 1.

Ok I went into Battery- battery health & switched off optimised battery , that the first important thing - then I let my XR drain all the way down to 10% and only then did I put it on to charge fully - and thanks to Fahadnm it worked !

i also turned off automatic updates as I would rather make sure the next update cannot do anymore damage before I use it on my mobile.

This worked for me and a couple of others so I hope it does for you too - my phone is not quite back to how it used to be but it’s a **** of a lot better than it was after updating to 13.5.1 😳

Guys, there is another IOS update released today... (79MB - Security Patch / 13.5.1). ***Please do update

and good news... its brings a new BUG of (Auto-restored) deleted photos from library. ***Push update of serer

regardless where ever the photo was deleted by user... That means at some point users iPhone storage will be full for no more auto-restored. Users delete photos mostly due to keep more active storage in iPhone... otherwise photos taken never meant to be deleted... or just don't take...

Hi Guys,

Ok... I have found another solution for now which actually works way to prevent our phones battery storage draining and fix the charging issues not increasing or stuck on 75-80%.

Please do let me know if this helps!

  • PLEASE (Turn Off) permanently this option (screenshot attached) and after put your phone on charge till its 100%.
  • Once its 100% please keep using your iPhone without putting on (LowPower) mode till battery reached to 10%.
  • On 10% put it back to charge.

Great for you. your problem solved.

I upgrade my iPhone 7 to 13.4.1 and battery start to drain fast just within an hour of normal use. Just upgrade to 13.5 the other days. OMG still the same problem and getting worse. sometimes can just see the battery from 100% going down 1% ever 15 - 30 seconds. Then phone will just went dead.. try to reboot battery just empty... plug in the charger reboot the phone and battery shows at least 60% to 70% full...

Try to use the iPhone after battery charges to 100%.. still same problem happens.. almost giving up and thinking of looking at getting a Samsung to replace the iPhone 7.

After updating to iOS 13.5 my iPhone 11 Pro Max battery drains excessively. Even when the phone is not in use. It also does not charge. Upon inspecting further, i have noticed that my iPhone charges from 10% to 75% max ony in between 2am to 4am. Which is extremely weird. I have (for the time being) permanently turned off the optimized charging/bttery option. My cousin in US also has updated his iPhone 11 pro max o 13.5.1, and he is also experiencing the same weird battery drainage, no charging overnight, sometimes it charges and sometimes it don't. According to him, he still has not received any response to his request that he lodged a week ago, from Apple support. His next step would be to send his iPhone there or visit himself - but what i have heard from him - they still do not have a solid reason why this is happening to some around the globe. I hope there is someone on this forum who could figure this out or help us in any way. All we can do till then is wait to get a response fro Apple.

Well, I have also installed (13.5) on my iPhone XS... and the day I install since then my phone battery is draining like crazy, even I am not using and phone is on standby... battery drains in 1 hour (without use) 20%.

I have to charge my phone at least 3 times a day and at the end still kept on (LowPower Mode).

PLEASE, guys HELP me out in this with practical / positive solution ASAP.

I disagree and it appears about 48 others in this thread. My iPhone xs has been draining the battery very quickly since this update and there is clearly something wrong. One of the posts suggests we change the subject but I think we should keep on this so it rises to the level of a response from our friends at Apple on it. It would be good to know if an update to fix this is being considered or worked on.

My experience is the opposite. The battery is draining 2 or 3 times faster compared to iOS 13.4 so I'm hopeful Apple is working on a fix. I wonder if it's the Bluetooth set up for the contact tracing. There isn't an app for that yet so maybe the phone is continuously searching for that, or, our iPhones are being tracked by Apple in a different way that affects performance.

I was 100% this morning at 9:47 am and my XS has dropped to 16% by 3:25 pm today. This is the fastest drain I've ever experienced with the phone. I've turned off background app refresh and use of cellular data an about every app. I'm following the advice from earlier today to let this get below 10% before recharging and have the low power setting turned off. I may let the phone just go to 0% and the recharge it back to 100% to see if there is any change. The battery capacity was at 96% a week or so ago and is showing at 92%, so I've owned the phone for 20 months and saw degradation of the battery at 4% until last week, and have now lost another 4% in a week. If there are any other ideas worth trying, please let me know.

Well, I had all the issues with 13.4 that have been all over the internet, but ignored by Apple; now, I've got 13.5.1, the battery drain issues are worse, and Apple are noticeably still silent. I won't be buying a new SE after seeing people complaining about the same issue there. Strangely, my 3 year old SE doesn't have as big a problem as my newer iPhone 7. All the trite, standard answers about background App refresh, location services etc. are not working, and given that new SE owners are complaining as well, suggests that Apple have a general problem with their programming and not just a trick to get customers to upgrade. It's time for Apple to admit their mistakes!
