Well, I have also installed (13.5) on my iPhone XS... and the day I install since then my phone battery is draining like crazy, even I am not using and phone is on standby... battery drains in 1 hour (without use) 20%.

I have to charge my phone at least 3 times a day and at the end still kept on (LowPower Mode).

PLEASE, guys HELP me out in this with practical / positive solution ASAP.

Well yesterday I put my phone through it’s paces knowing that it had 100% battery - it got used a lot in the morning and not so much in the afternoon - but the big thing is it still had charge by the afternoon and at 22.00pm it had 43% battery left !!!

Thank you Fahadnm, for now I believe my mobile is vastly better than it was - not back to how it was before the update - but definitely an improvement .

How many of you are going to go ahead with the next update 13.5.1 ?

I for one won’t be ,( at least not until I have no choice) as I don’t won’t my mobile to go back to square one!

I haven’t had issues with my iPad but then I don’t allow automatic updates however my partner does and it has played havoc with his iPad - turning both music & Siri while he watched a programme !!

i have since turned off his automatic updates so he won’t get the next one - but online there are thousands documenting problems with all the iOS 13.5.1/2/3/4/5 updates - these are serious issues that are not being addressed 😡

I also updated to 13.5.1 as soon as it came out. And honestly that is when the issues started on my iPhone 11 pro max. Weirdly none seems to work except my iPhone charges from 15% to 75% strictly during 2am to 4am period. I’ll

be getting rid of all if my current Apple products (selling them), since Apple doesn’t give a shiz about their products after release. I have never seen such an unprofessional brand renowned brand. Anyways i’m using all my power to contact all leading tech giants and famous tech influencers around the globe to enlighten them about Apple’s behaviour in regard to this (or to almost) all related issues.

This seems to have worked on both my iphones. The battery drain is considerably less, I hope Apple are listening. The feature claims that battery life is prolonged if you leave it switched on - what utter nonsense, if the battery is draining faster and charging slower I don't see how that will extend battery life! This goes against any previous knowledge I had on battery life.

I do hope so but I guarantee this may happen again - my daughter used to work in mobile phone shops years ago and she said it was quite common that after a couple of years one of the upgrades would set off a decline of iPhone performance - this way people would have to update to a new phone - I know Apple were trouble quite recently because it was found that they did do this.

i pray that 13.6 will be the answer but for now since I did what you suggested Fahadnm I have a phone that holds its charge effectively- although I still haven’t done any of the new updates - my last one was 13.5.1 🙄

Ok I went into Battery- battery health & switched off optimised battery , that the first important thing - then I let my XR drain all the way down to 10% and only then did I put it on to charge fully - and thanks to Fahadnm it worked !

i also turned off automatic updates as I would rather make sure the next update cannot do anymore damage before I use it on my mobile.

This worked for me and a couple of others so I hope it does for you too - my phone is not quite back to how it used to be but it’s a **** of a lot better than it was after updating to 13.5.1 😳

I saw this article about how iOS 13.6 is causing even worse battery draining issues. There is a suggested fix, but it might be good to avoid this update. The article suggests it may be from Bluetooth or network settings, which has been my suspicion. I think it's a flaw from the contact tracing app they have even though it's may be not connected to anything at this point. Others have disagreed with this theory, but I'm going to hold off on this update.

Hey dude me too initially no problems though, but after a few weeks, i realized the battery life is not good every 1% drop when I am on WeChat voice calls or scrolling through Facebook and Instagram feeds!

I got this phone on 21 July 2020, it was alright then but ever since after a few weeks, the disappointment with battery comes... is yours like that as well?
