At least you proved 13.5 was not the problem. Something on your phone is.
The next step would be to restore your device, and setup the device without restoring a backup, to see if the issue is replicated. I would first make sure you have a backup so your data is saved.
Here is a guide for those steps:
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings and see how it goes
If no improvement arrange for repair or replace
If it works well restore from backup but be prepared to wipe again without restore from backup.
Apple service centers replace thousands of batteries. They can do it blindfold.
Iphone 6s is terribly effected by IOS 13.5. I am not able to hold my phone in my hand more than a min due to heating issue .
Apple should consider this issue for batteries. Battery drains out very fast. You need to consider it is at serious /blocker issue and come with the fix or suggestion / support .
My ten month old 6s has gone from regularly lasting 24 hours on standby to having to full-charge it from 10% or less three times per day after the latest 13.5 update - with the exact same or even less usage. How am I NOT supposed to be a security vulnerability and roll back the OS to make my phone even partially practical again?
This is the current battery roller-coaster I am on with my 6s and iOS 13.5. I have Background App Refresh 'off' (always have) and some apps are creating havoc. The only way to stop the apps from background activity is to force kill them. This is after a fresh restore of 13.5 too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx
I have an iPhone XS Max. I use my phone quite a bit for social media and normally charge once every 24 hours. Since the 13.5 update better his running low after around 12 hours. I’ve even been using it less than normal due to work commitments. What’s going on?! Please help.
iOS 13.5 update is hampering the battery life along with the charging error.
Suddenly stopped at 25% and not charging above and for few days only charges 80% not even 81% on the screen and it’s draining like ****.....
pls do something Apple!!!
and update us all fast, as soon as possible.
Thanks,
I’ve noticed several things after loading the new update - I have full WiFi but I get that there is no internet connection at times - apps load very slowly - battery drains 20% in 15 minutes with all apps shut off (nothing running in background) - screens freeze especially in mail when I try to delete items - takes over 8 seconds to remove the item - in mail when I click on delete sometimes nothing happens. My battery doesn’t last longer than 5 hours at BEST if I don’t use the phone at all!
> I think we should all be clear here on phone models.
Makes sense. The model I’ve is iPhone 8 with original battery. Battery health is 96% of maximum capacity. Power drain happens both when connected to WiFi (100mbps & full signal strength) and LTE only (poor signal with only 2 bars). The amount of power drain per 10 minutes is identical in both situations.
So no, antenna is irrelevant to this.
I have an i Phone 7 and since the update to 13.5 my battery is draining a lot faster than usual. I can charge the phone and unplug it, walk away for a couple hours and when i come back i'm down 10-15 % with out using the phone for anything at all. 13.5.1 did not make it any better. My phone has had it's battery replaced by factory trained pro's at the i Phone store and currently reads that it is capable of peak performance and has 98% of its life left. Again this started the day installed 13.5. Yes the phone has been turned off and back on several times.
I’m seeing other things too - outlook is slow and doesn’t update all the time - apps freeze - unresponsive screens - my phone drains battery like crazy - Touch ID sometimes takes two or more times - dumped cache; rebooted; reflashed phone and nothing fixes it. Disappointing how Apple is not even responding or acknowledging these issues.
My iPhone 8 will go from 94% to 0% in a second, and shut down. As soon as I plug it in again the battery goes back up to 94% immediately. It's been going on for a few days now.
I read that using a beta release isn't an option unless you are a developer, so I guess 13.6 beta is out of the question for me. Will have to wait for Apple to release it to the public.
Man I’ve already DONE that, at least three times. And for the last time I didn’t even restore backup — I just started as a whole new phone and reconfigured and reinstalled all the app from ground zero, and it’s still the same. Heck my battery just dropped from 86% to 80% just writing this reply by now!
Just stop telling people to reset. It’s NOT a magic bullet that can fix anything.
It is a standard fix, call it boilerplate if you wish (which as a retired engineer I take as a compliment).
I don't need to be professional, I work for nobody. I retired 15 years ago.
If it ain't helpful for you then ignore it and let those whom it helped (and there are many) enjoy it.
Better still your actual suggestions how to actually help people sort their phones would be welcome. Earn yourself some points
PS I agree with you that cloud photos are a resource burner. I avoid it like the plague.
I power off my watch and charge it overnight - since the latest update on my watch I don’t get weather and it jumps over to the login script constantly throughout the day - I tell you the development of the system upgrades has been sorely lacking over the years since jobs died!!!!
Thank you very much for yr kind time. Battery health is 93% in 10 months. I took to service center but after analysis they told that they found all ok and advised me to place to them under warranty. Now I am thinking to see ios 14 and place under warranty If not solve. What should I do? If they change battery will it be ok?
