Ransomware on iPhone

Your phone can’t get ransomware. So that is a scam. Restart your phone.

You should reset your device to factory defaults.

If you jailbroken your phone, then you no longer have the iOS security. You are on your own with this. The only thing you can do is to restore it as new without reloading a backup.

If you fell for the scam, don’t panic.

Make sure you didn’t provide any information with any links or attachments on the email.

Report it as a attachment to

reportphishing@apple.com

Then, throw it away, or recycle it.

It can certainly make your phone vulnerable. So you should probably throw it away now.

If you jailbreak all of your phones, then you no longer have any iOS security on any of them. Apple will not help you with any problems you might have.
