Why cant i "configure to allow calls using this mac" that is an error that keeps popping up, on my facetime, via my computer

Thanks for posting on Apple Support Communities. I understand that you are trying to make calls via your Mac but keep getting an error. The error states that your iPhone is not configured to allow calls using this Mac. There are a few things to check first.

1. Verify that the same Apple ID is in use on your Mac and your iPhone.
2. On your iPhone, make sure your telephone number and email address are correct in the FaceTime settings. You can check this by tapping Settings> FaceTime> view You can be reached by FaceTime
3. On your Mac, open the FaceTime app, then choose FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings, then select Calls From iPhone.
4. Restart both devices.

Also Bluetooth needs to be on the allow the set up Codes to be sent from the iPhone to the Mac.

If the other end is using SMS then the iPhone Version needs this to be on before you link Mac and iPhone/iPad.
