iPad Pro Magic Keyboard trackpad suddenly stopped working.

I just encountered the same problem. Bought the keyboard on January 2, 2021 for my IPad Pro 11 2018. Have the latest system upgrade. Followed the advice on this thread and unplugged, shut down, restarted, put the ipad back on the keyboard. I have not yet powered back on via the keyboard. This simply should not be happening. I am still within the Amazon return period. 300.00 for a device like this from apple should not have this issue.

I have the same problem. No trackpad functionality and the trackpad options don’t even show up in the Settings. I spent a lot of $$$ on this and now it doesn’t even work. I’ve tried the unplugging the power and removing the tablet from the keyboard simultaneously and it doesn’t work. Not sure how some people have claimed it is a guaranteed fix. Not true in my experience.

I have thought this issue was gone for the past 2 months or so. Just took my iPad off the keyboard to do some art this morning and when I reconnected it, no trackpad connection. Not sure if the keyboard was working. This is f*cking garbage. I spent over $1,300 for this setup. For that much money, I could have had a nice gaming desktop, a MacBook or an incredibly nice pc laptop. I just wanted to be able to use my MFi gaming controller again, which only works with iOS. I should have found another solution.

Hopefully it will not have the problem again. Others, including me, can do the workaround and it works consistently for a while but eventually it returns. In my case it typically comes back between 1 or 2 days. I use my iPad with the Keyboard daily.

Same issues just occurred to my iPad Pro. Updating to 13.5.1 did not help.

The iPad received a small update recently and I believe they addressed this issue in the update, because I have not had it reoccur.
