HBO Max on MacBook Pro

I subscribed to HBO Max via Apple TV on my iPad Pro and was able to watch on the iPad Pro. I do not see a way to watch HBO Max content on my MacBook Pro though. When I login to Apple TV HBO does not show up and the movies that would be available through it are not, they are for rent and purchase instead. There is no app to download for the MacBook apparently. When I went to the HBO Max website and chose the Apple TV icon as my provider, it says I do not have have a subscription to HBO through Apple TV, which is not true. I subscribed last night. So my question is how does one access HBO Max when I subscribed through apple on a MacBook Pro?

They say to contact Apple since I bought it through Apple. Doesn't matter to me anymore. I just use the iPad, which has a better screen. But there is currently no way to login to HBO Max on a MacBook if you purchased through Apple TV. For those responding, if you are able to login through MacBook after purchasing through Apple TV, please let people know exactly what you did. Otherwise the advice so far is not helpful and doesn't work.

When I say Apple TV, I mean the app. I can access HBO Max on the iPhone and my iPad Pro through the Apple TV app. When I search for HBO in either of those, movies and such come up from HBO Max show up that I can watch. But for the MacBook Pro, logging in to the HBO Max website seems the only option and it says I do not have a subscription. Maybe that is a good clarification.

Nope. That doesn't work. When you login on a MacBook through HBOMax with Apple TV as the provider, it gives the following message: "Can’t Verify Your Subscription. It looks like your Apple TV subscription does not include HBO Max. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact your provider." HBO Max through Apple TV works fine on iPads, using the HBO Max app, but does not allow login on MacBooks.
