I can’t install watchOS 6.2.6.

Hi I turned on the wifi on my watch and it worked. I thought that I had this on and while a quick check looked like wifi was on (the wifi symbol was highlighted) I wasn’t actually connected to my wifi, it was just using the wifi off the phone. So this did the trick for me - both phone and watch have to be connected to the same wifi. Hope this helps

Did you turn the wifi off on the watch? Then initiate the download? Something i did as well was remove the upgrade download from the watch memory via the watch app on my phone. Then started from scratch after turning WiFi off on the watch. I had to have the watch on the charge station while I was accessing the update otherwise it wouldn’t work.

I have a series 2 and this has been such a pain trying to install over a week now, but it finally worked after taking some advice on this chat channel. I did try installing directly from watch and turned WIFI and bluetooth off from both Iphone & watch but that did not work. So first I downloaded the update on the watch, once downloaded I put my Iphone in aeroplane mode but left my watch with WIFI & bluetooth on and then click Install on my watch, and after about 3 attempts of keep clicking install, then it finally worked, wow what a effort to get this installed.

In Apple Watch - Go to Settings and Turn-off the Wi-Fi and install the update from watch. It will work.

This worked. I put my phone on Airplane mode and then updated through the watch! It finally worked! Thanks!!

I tried and tried to install 6.2.6 the correct way. No luck. Then I followed a post which said to try installing it from the watch itself, without turning off WiFi or Bluetooth, and this worked the first time. C’mon Apple please. Get this fixed !!!!!

Hi, can you actually download the update software with wifi turned off? In my case the download paused until I turned back on wifi. Cheers

How do you remove the upgrade download from the Watch memory? Right now (after multiple attempts to install), the Software Update screen in the Watch App on the phone says "Download and Install". Does this mean the download has already been erased?

I have done the process above several times with no positive result. The only thing I have difficulty doing is “Removing the Upgrade Download from Watch memory” am doing doing something wrong?

Please help! You can view my Watch display (below) since I first attempted the update - and since then no changes.

Same issue here. Can't get past the error message. My watch is acting like a brand new watch that needs to be setup from scratch, so I can't get into the "Settings" to do anything manually from the watch itself. Did you find a solution?

I am having the same issue. I was made update my phone and then after that was told to update my apple watch too, went into the app and had the same issue everyone is having so i factory reset my watch and now it won't install. Every time i go to register the watch the instalment is super slow waiting time is 5 days ect..... i can't do it directly from the watch either .

Anyone any idea what i can do?
