Several attempts to installing the latest WatchOS 6.2.6 patch (with series 1 iWatch on the charging base). No luck. Each install and verification attempt leads to message: UNABLE TO INSTALL- an error occurred installing the latest version....
any ideas on others ways to get the update to install?

Hi I turned on the wifi on my watch and it worked. I thought that I had this on and while a quick check looked like wifi was on (the wifi symbol was highlighted) I wasn’t actually connected to my wifi, it was just using the wifi off the phone. So this did the trick for me - both phone and watch have to be connected to the same wifi. Hope this helps

I wonder what the reason was why it wouldn’t install in a normal way?
