Does anybody know how to get iTunes Genius working again?
I’ve nit been able to use Genius for a few years now. I constantly get an error saying ‘iTunes cannot be updated’.
Is it because I have such a large library? I have over 3Tb, over 11,000 albums.
Its a shame. I used to love using Genius, but now it no longer works.
Does anybody have a solution, or an alternative player to iTunes that has a feature similar to Genius?

I understand that you’re unable to use Genius in iTunes for Windows, and I'm happy to help. First, please make sure that your iTunes software is up to date:
Once you've done that, you can hold down the shift key while clicking on the icon to launch iTunes. This will create a new library. With the new library created, please test to see if Genius gives an error.

Okay, well, that rules out the version. It's not unknown for people to say they have the latest version, but don't in fact. That's why it was important to confirm it.
I admit, I don't use Genius, so I'm a little bit in the dark. Perhaps someone else might chip in with some answers.
It would be helpful if you could confirm which version you're using, not to simply state "latest version". That's not confirmation.
Look in Help/About, what does it say?

Which version of iTunes are you using then? Look in Help/About iTunes.
