Images and stickers missing from IMessages

I have no Idea what happened, it I cannot access my gallery or app to send photos through IMessages, I can only take picture. Is there any way to get them back?

Pics on top of messages page There are a few pics at top of messages page so I can tap the pic & go to my messages w/ them. One is now missing. How do I get it back?

IOS15, Photos/videos disappear After receiving a photo or video via iMessage and saving this to photos, the photo or video disappears a few hours after deleting the original iMessage. Have tried this several times with the same results and has only started happening since updating to IOS 15.
