How to edit Featured Photos on Iphone

”When you delete the featured photos, they will be deleted from your Photos Library and not just removed from the Featured album. Do that only, if you do not like the photo and want to delete it everywhere. Use the Remove command and not the Delete command.”

Okay I figured it out! You have to download the app “Widgetsmith” then click on whatever widget size then click on the icon twice then you scroll to the bottom of the options and click photos allow it to connect to all photos the. You click the widget and choose select cover and there you can choose

Do you mean favourites photo album? If so, simply click on the heart that you see when viewing a photo in regular view.

yeah well what if we delete all of them will more ransoms pop up?

Yup. I’m having the same problem also! I’m assuming it’s a bug and will be fixed in the future update(s). But it’s annoying and not working for me also.

I just removed one picture from featured album and the complete featured album folder is gone. How to get that back? Can someone help me to get that folder back please.

update IOS 14beta into IOS14 original that was beta version may that’s not syncing your whole photo album now may it work on IOS 14 (original)

Download the app “Photo Widget” it would be your best alternative! You can thank me later lol

I figured it out! If you go into the Widgetsmith app and edit the widget you can pick what album you want it to rotate through

When I woke up this morning I noticed something different from the Photos widget. So I’ve been having the same problems as all of you, but the widget had a new larger category of photos specifically for pictures of animal I had on my phone. I’m more impressed that apple was able to pick out animals from cats rabbits to a lemur.

I don’t have a photo of it on the widget but this is the auto photo category that was displayed on the widget. It’s now back to some 3 random photos from tho now.

I’m also dealing with that... I managed to choose the picture I wanted to see on my Photos Widget by removing all the featured photos except the one I wanted, but this morning my iPhone changed all my featured photos again and now I’m having a bad picture on my widget... I reported it as a suggestion because I don’t think it’s hard to add an option to choose just one picture to see 🤔

I would suggest the developer to make some update so that we can keep certain pictures always there. Something like time table or family pictures. I think it’s useful when you can always take a glimpse at them when you unlock you phone. Hope for the update.

i Sent Apple feedback on this but I’m also posting here. I’m hoping more people will do the same. The more people who suggest this increases the likelihood.

My suggestion is to have a choice of picking an album you wish to display, using photos you’ve selected as favorites, or add a way to edit or filter what can be picked as featured.

My other idea is to have other options like slideshow speed/ refresh rate, animations, effects, and etc. That suggestion is definitely secondary to being able to have more control over the pics displayed though.

hopefully enough people agree and say something about it for apple to recognize and implement it.
