Have iPad Pro that will not charge battery. Supply, charger, cable all ok. But will not charge battery. This iPad is 7 months old

My wife has a 7 month old iPad pro that will not boot. The battery icon shows almost depleted/ empty, However battery will not charge the wall supply, charger and charge cable all check out OK.

How can I get this iPad pro (this model does not have a home button) to reset or what ever is necessary to have the battery charge and iPad to open. I have correct passwords etc. Wife would hope to save data. Nope she never backed it up to iTunes

Thanks,

Joe

Try the new hard reset procedure for the new 2018/2020 iPad Pro models.

1. Press and Release the Volume Up button.

2. Then immediately Press and Release the Volume Down button.

3. Then, Press and Hold the Power Button at the top. You will see the Slide to Power off button, but keep on holding down the Power Button until you see the Apple logo, then let it go.

Once you have performed all the steps, wait for a few seconds and your 2018 iPad Pro will boot up completely to the iPad Pro’s Lock screen.

Good Luck!
