My desktop folders on my MacBook Pro show up on my wife's Mac Book Pro. How do I prevent this?

Presumably both computers are signed into the same Apple ID, and iCloud is set to share the desktop. You can turn desktop sharing off in system preferences > iCloud, But better for different people to have different Apple IDs.
