Macbook Pro 2020 - Panic(CPU

Dear all,

I'm having some troubles with my new Macbook Pro. I'm quite getting often different Panic(CPU errors. The computer shuts down and is preceded by the fans whirring loudly. It is a problem, which I have never had on my previous Macs. Sometimes there is no error, only: Intel CrashLog recorded due to unexpected reset. I think this might be because of Lightroom which I recently restarted and trying it out now.

Hi HenryNovember,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing a number of unexpected restarts when using your new MacBook Pro.

"Unexpected restarts are usually caused by software installed on your Mac, or by devices connected to your Mac. If the issue causes your Mac to restart every time it attempts to start up, your Mac might eventually shut down. Use the steps below to check the software and hardware on your Mac."

Cheers!

You have one multi-processor co-operation problem in WindowServer, and one GPU problem, and one other problem that may be graphics-related.

I recommend you apply the update to 10.15.6, which is said to fix some graphics and sleep-related problems.

If you still have issues, use System preferences > Energy Saver ...

... to disable all Power Nap features as a work-around.

Hi,

I have a very similar problem on my new macbook pro 13'. It crashed several times since I started to use it (one week ago). I have not used any USB-C but, while charging it, it crashed and appeared the error "intel crashlog recorded due to unexpected reset".

I have a Catalina 10.15.7.

Is that a software or an hardware problem?

thank you

Same here,

MacBook Pro 13" 2020 10.15.7

btw. if you are loading you connect via USB-C ...

my Problem:

Connect USB-C on left side upper one (tested on left side all every the same) to LG UltraFine

- working

- finishing disconnect the monitor all windows are collected on internal monitor then close the lid => pffft sound appears (seems like the fan's are spinning up fast) and restart with error Intel CrashLog recorded due to unexpected reset

Is done (on 90% of the lid closings)

the problem seems to get worse since apple has now the own monitors again, with the release of these this problem occurred

connecting external monitor (on prev. MacBook Pro 13" Late 2016) display stays black disconnect / reconnect then it sometimes recognise the montior (best way connect close lid, wait until recognised open lid again ....)

another thing: other people have the same problem with docking stations connected to the usb-c and restarts with error

and I think its a os problem / something is not working as it should usb-c driver , only thing what I recognised is the new USB-C connectors are, how should I say "cheap" first they are fitting tight but after a few connects they are getting widened very fast...

quality is not getting better on the apple products

I hope for an OS update soon, otherwise if it would be a hardware problem... then it will get interesting
