Trying to install the latest Catalina update. I keep getting the message that an internet connection is required to install macOS.
The internet connection seems to be working just fine in all other aspects.
I've closed all other apps, shut down and restarted, etc.

I tried for several days then gave up. Turned the computer on yesterday and the update had been installed.

I also tried downloading Catalina from the App Store and after the downloader ran for ~5 minutes, I get an 'unable to install' message.
I have exactly the same problem!
