I am able to watch Youtube, but unable to play videos on apps like Udemy or other training sites. Any ideas on how to correct?

Hi there Terry,

It sounds like you're facing issues with videos playing on Safari and Chrome. Streaming and playing videos on your Mac is important, and we can understand why you'd want to get this taken care of.

We have a resource and a few pieces of instructions that can help. Check out: Get extensions customize Safari

What we would want to focus on, is ensure your plugins and extensions are enabled, or disabled, to allow video playback. You can check and test these settings:

1. Safari > Preferences > Security > Internet Plug-ins

Make sure that “Allow Plug-ins" is enabled.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Uncheck boxes beside all extensions and test.

Enable extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall an extension, select it and click the “Uninstall” button.

If these don't help you resolve the issue, the next step would be to test this in safe mode, which will tell you if the issue is being caused by an app or extension that may block video playback. Learn more about that here: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Cheers!
