hello I accidentally deleted a shortcut for copy/paste I don't know how to recover the whole shortcut now when I press command c nothing happens so what should I do????

my command copy/paste shortcut key got deleted I don't know how somehow
now when I use command c nothing happens same for command v
what should I do?
how to recover the shortcut so I can use it again ?

When using an app go to the Edit menubar item and see if Copy and Paste have a shortcut attributed to them.


If they are empty you could use System Preferences> Keyboard> Shortcuts

Highlight App Shortcuts in the left hand panel.

Click on the plus button, from the drop down menu

Select All Applications

Menu Title: Copy

Menu Shortcut: ⌘C

Press Add.

Having done that you can do the same for Paste

using the ⌘V shortcut.
