Reset Network Settings: Only network settings are removed.

  • When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile or mobile device management (MDM) are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and Ask to Join Networks settings remain turned on.
  • To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the configuration profile, then tap Remove Profile. This also removes other settings and accounts provided by the profile. See Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone in this guide.
  • To remove network settings installed by MDM, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the management, then tap Remove Management. This also removes other settings and certificates provided by MDM. See “Mobile device management (MDM)” in the iOS Deployment Reference.
  • Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

I also am having the similar problems after the latest 13.6.1 update with my phone not receiving calls or just ringing once and then dropping out, also when trying to make calls it won’t call. I’ve tried all the recommendations but it’s useless.

Making things worse is my partner updated her phone last night and is now suffering from the same issues!

please fix this Apple as we need to be able to be called in case of an emergency.

How many of us are in UK ? Cos I contacted Apple they said I need to bring in for check and repair if required, Contacted my network provider who is Lebara (Vodafone) and they said they are aware of this problem and have many similar complaint and they are working on it they took many details including my location and IMEI.

Kindly contact your service provider and let them know.

Hope this helps to all and things get back to normal soon

I've been escalated twice to the next customer support rep. Now I'm on hold for a senior advisor. They are trying to tell me it has nothing to do with 13.6.1. IOS update but I know it does. I'm located in Las Vegas, NV. My husband's iphone works fine and he didn't update to 13.6.1. Apple wants me to mail my phone in and be without a phone. I run a property management/real estate business and my iphone is the main number (using an app for extensions/call forwarding). I've been dealing with this for 5 days now. uuggh....

I had this problem since Saturday afternoon when I updated to 13.6.1 looks there is some problem between service providers and Apple cos my service provider told they are having numerous complaints with Iphone user, My service provider took all my details alongwith Iph model even IMEI number and told Vodafone knows about this and are working on this.

(Same its my business number -UK kitchen - bathroom supplier) but am using my sim on other Iph and its working perfectly fine and have update too on 13.6.1 but my actual iph stopped or can say barred from cellular network, wifi i working fine as of now.

I honestly don't think Apple really knows what happened to these iphones after the IOS update 13.6.1 as it's only been out about a week. It's a mess. He said the more people that call in and log a support case the more seriously they will take it. He did a diagnostic test on my phone and even remotely took control. No easy fix...have to send phone to Apple for repair. Prior to this I've tried every possible reset option: turning airplane mode on/off, resetting network settings, connecting to computer via itunes, resetting device completely (setting up as a new iphone and removing all apps, etc). My carrier TMobile said they are fielding lots of calls and they believe it's an Apple hardware issue.

I also experienced this issue with my iphone X. no cellular service after updated to 13.6.1 and my iphone now reboots randomly every 20-30 minutes. I tried a factory reset and now cannot even activate my phone over wifi. I tried chatting with apple support and they advised me that it is a hardware issue and the only thing they can offer is an out of warranty replacement. My phone was 100% fine prior to the upgrade and it's pretty ridiculous to suggest that my iphone hardware just happened to fail at the exact moment I upgraded to 13.6.1.

I’m in Australia and have 4 phones 3XRs and 1 7+. Two of the XRs were having call problems immediately after installing the 13.6.1 upgrade, missing most calls or ringing once then dropping out and when trying to make calls not connecting/ringing then timing out, we were also suffering extremely slow mobile wifi speed. I was able to send and receive text messages OK!

so I took both the affected phones into the store to get them checked, the technician plugged one in and did a diagnostic check which returns no faults. He wanted to do a backup and then perform a factory settings restore but as I don’t backup to the cloud was going to do it myself after I’d done the backup and if that didn’t work then advise me to replace the SIM card.

So I never managed to do the backup and restore that night and then the next morning without doing anything all of the problems we were having with both phones were gone and two days later are still working fine!

Hi Srini

Lebara sent me a replacement sim which I activated just now but its not working on my actual mobile works fine on other basically what I understand from 4 calls to Lebara and 3 to Apple in simple terms my Iph 8 is network locked maybe which has caused this issue have an appointment with Apple on Tuesday they might help to open that network lock or something like that, and also assume there is something within new update and few network provider some network settings issue within new update which are not going hand in hand with few network provider. Learnt a lesson never dive in first until an update is out and tested. Can I ask if you can see anything on Mobile data page on your settings mine is completely blank
