Reset Network Settings: Only network settings are removed.

  • When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile or mobile device management (MDM) are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and Ask to Join Networks settings remain turned on.
  • To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the configuration profile, then tap Remove Profile. This also removes other settings and accounts provided by the profile. See Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone in this guide.
  • To remove network settings installed by MDM, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the management, then tap Remove Management. This also removes other settings and certificates provided by MDM. See “Mobile device management (MDM)” in the iOS Deployment Reference.
  • Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

I came looking for iOS 13.6.1 update problems related to wifi / connectivity issues. Lo and behold! My pad and phone are both unable to hold a wifi signal. I'm adding my voice to this, just so Apple sees how many people are experiencing problems with this. This is essential to fix quickly. I rely on my mobile device for work communciation!

What cell carrier do most of you have that are failing to get cellular service?

Good Luck my phone is out for repair

now. Apple covers there 6 by having us

sign the form @ the Apple Store. If you phone doesn’t comply with their free repair protocols you will be charged.

My estimated bill sent to me from the

Apple Store via email, hold on now,

get ready, $310 for a 4 year old iPhone 7,

that’s some set they have. If that becomes a reality my reply will be

”Thanks, Keep It”, yes I own the phone.

PS my carrier is Verizon, Applevis pointing their finger in their direction.

Good Luck Everyone!!!!!

I have the same problem since I updated to IOS 3.6.1 both in my Iphone X and ipad. My ipad was working well when all of sudden it acted like my iphone when i updated to 3.6.1. I can no longer use our newly installed wifi (5ghz & 2.4ghz wifi). My macbook pro is working well on the same wifi, but not my new updated iphone and ipad. This is very frustrating.

I just started having this problem today....I guess my phone finally got time to update. despite showing it has signal (which is not often), no apps that need internet work. I called Apple support and the guy claimed it was a provider issue. I looked up if AT&T had any outages in my area and they did not. I hope they fix this issue soon.

Yes to all!! This is a f’n nightmare!! I did spend 1 hr on phone with Apple support chat as I couldn’t make any calls. Seemed like he really wanted to help fix this issue...sent me links with procedures to fix, which I already tried except network settings. It works only for a few hours until I go to an area where there’s no wifi and cellular service then drops. Resetting network doesn't always fix this! Apple please develop an update ASAP to fix this! Many of us rely 100% on our iPhones to communicate with the world!

Don’t upgrade to 13.6.1. It is garbage! I lose wifi connection constantly. I’m also being suddenly pummeled with spam iMessages and SMS texts, and they are passing through unknown senders box without being able to report junk as it should. Apple support has tried everything to restore my wifi stability. No other devices in the house experience this problem. Then they told me to contact my provider in both instances after 6 chat sessions. All wifi equipment has been reset. They had me restore my 11 Pro Max with a fresh copy of 13.6.1. I still have the same problems. I’ve never been more dissatisfied with Apple. Whatever you do, don’t upgrade to 13.6.1. It exhibits serious security issues with this “hole” that is allowing spam to enter Messages without abandon.

I had the same problems after 13.6.1 update after not having any issues with my phone for several years. I too spent hours on a chat with the Apple support staff who were actually really great, but we couldn't fix the issue as it also gave a failed circuit board error message when running diagnostics on it! So, they have me setup for mail-in to Apple store since I’m out in the country and can’t make it to a store over an hour away.

but last night I allowed the 13.7 update to run and it looks like the cellular data is working ok again! Funny how Apple came out with the 13.7 update so quick after the failed 13.6.1 update! I’m hoping this was the fix I needed. The battery did take a hit after the 13.6.1 update, but I can always get that replaced later. They said the battery wasn’t covered for this repair anyway even though I never had a battery error prior to the 13.6.1 update.

anyone else experience installing 13.7 update that fixed the 13.6.1 issues??

I’ve not lost signal but mine stays around 1 bar most of the time since the update. I used to be full bars or occasionally 1 less than full when at home. Restart does not help. Airplane mode on / off does not help. AND I still have apps that randomly use cellular data despite their data being turned off. I reported it one or 2 updates ago and no one takes it seriously apparently. Simply disgraceful Apple!
