Adding bookmarks in Safari on MacBook Pro
I have a long list of bookmark folders. I'm constantly adding to it. I'm wondering if there's a simpler way to do either of the things below.
When I want to bookmark a page, I do the following:
Type Command D
Scroll to folder name in drop-down list
Click on Add
Is there a way to get to the folder by starting to type the name (as in some address drop-downs, where if you want to get to Massachusetts, for example, M takes you to states beginning with M)?
Also, if I want to bookmark a page into a new folder, I do the following:
Open Book marks menu
Click on Add Bookmark Folder
Scroll to bottom of Bookmarks list
Rename "untitled folder" to the new name I want
Then go through steps above to add bookmark.
It seems there ought to be a way to add the new folder through the initial Add Bookmark window (more like Chrome). Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks for any suggestions.
