10.15.6 Update - Bluetooth Not Available

After updating to Catalina 10.15.6, Bluetooth is not available on my Macbook Pro (2017). This prevents me from using a wireless keyboard or mouse with the Mac. I get an error message saying that Bluetooth is not available.

I've rebooted by machine more times than I can count, started in SafeMode and deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist. Those seem to be fixes primarily at solving Bluetooth connectivity problems which doesn't seem to be the issue here. I've read other threads about folks experiencing this when they updated to Catalina, but I didn't. Bluetooth was working fine until I updated to 10.15.6, making me think it's almost certainly a software issue.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

hanks, Leroy! I actually don't have the BT icon in my menubar anymore. It disappeared when I updated.

It is unclear if this was the point update for 10.15 ie X.X.6

or

if this was an upgrade to a new macOS ie Catalina 10.15.6

If it is not a hardware issue than you can try reinstalling the macOS on top of your existing macOS from Recovery:
