I have done bootcamp on Windows 10, and I cannot seem to get it to detect my external display. it is an hdmi display connected through a thunderbolt dock. I have tried using an adaptor, to no avail. I have updated drivers, tried using old ones, reinstalling bootcamp utilities, etc. none of it worked. I cannot get it to output on windows 10. it works fine in MacOS.

No. The Belkin has it's own HDMI port, which I use on regularly. When the Belkin, which is thunderbolt 2, didn't work in Windows, I attemted to use the VisionTek thunderbolt 2 adaptor without the Belkin, which also did not work. So I would like the connection to go Mac -> Belkin -> Monitor. When that didn't work, I attemted
Mac -> VisionTek -> Monitor.
yes, it works properly in macos, and it still works after a cold restart. No, turning the belkin on and then off makes it so that none of the peripherals plugged in work. The drivers also did not work.
Yes, this worked! I reinstalled it, but from the windows partition on the usb rather than efi boot. Thanks for all the help!

Yes, I used a thunderbolt 2 to HDMI adaptor. That also did not work.

No, windows does not detect the monitor. it is a 2012 MacBook Pro.
The 2012 Macs do not support 'hot-plugging' TB2. Does the monitor show up if you connect the monitor and reboot Windows?
No. I have tried reinstalling windows, the drivers, with and without the dock, i just can't get it to work. it doesn't show up in windows, BootCamp Utilities, or Intel
