Philips Hearing Link 9010 T R Hearing Aids will not pair with 2015 MBP - Please help :-)

Dear Apple Community,

I just got my first pair of hearing aids. They are Philips Hearing Link 9010 T R Hearing Aids I bought from Costco. I have all things Apple - literally, my whole house is filled with Apple products. The new hearing aids are "Made for iPhone, iPad, and iPod." I am trying to pair them with my 2015 15" MBP but the MBP will not recognize them. I searched System Preferences for something to help and found nothing.

The hearing aids online manual can be found here:

and I'm sure you all have the specs on my MBP, but just in case here's the information:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

MacOS Catilina Version 10.15.6

Thanks in advance for your help!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Some hearing aids are extremely device specific and will support iOS, but not Mac.

Based on looking at their product page (https://www.hearingsolutions.philips.com/en-us/support/connectivity/compatibility) I'm not seeing anything about any sort of Mac (or PC for that matter) compatibility. So it looks like it actually relies on the use of an Android or iOS (only) App. And every mention of the HearLink series only seems to mention iOS and Android only.

Based on that, the only workaround would be looking into the HearLink TV Adapter (https://wdh01.azureedge.net/-/media/hearing-solutions/pdf/global/user-guides/197496_philips_hearlink_tv_adapter_ug_2018_uk.pdf?la=en&rev=7BBD&hash=4EE73317ED8F91E9BE3C88355C48BAC7).

So the idea is your hearing aids sync to their box, and their box as the adapter+cable included for standard 1/8-inch speaker jack connection (no mic though). However, the device does require wall outlet power from the looks of it, so not very portable.

You should contact them directly, but literally everything points to iOS and Android support only with an App required, other than this TV adapter with zero computer support.

Thank you rcost887 for doing all that work! That's amazing that you looked through the manual and tried to find the answer! You Apple Support Community folks are great! Sadly, it looks like I'm going to have to do some weird gyrations to get my new hearing aids to link to my MBP. Not sure if I'll do it, but it was great having someone with knowledge, like yourself, do the investigating for me! Thanks again :-)
