Please Help!!! I accidentally exported hundreds of pics to my desktop!!

I exported hundreds of pics from Photos on my 2014 MacBook Air to the desktop. I thought a folder would be created and they would go into the folder. Stupid me! Instead they are all over the desktop. I would appreciate so much if someone could explain step by step how to get them off my desktop! I'm not an idiot but not as computer literate as I could be. So a detailed explanation would be most appreciated. I'm using OS Catalina Version 10.15.6.
