Data disappeared from icloud after running a succesfull backup?

I really hope someone would be able to help me with this problem.

I ran an icloud backup on the 14th of September which was successful ( I also had previous backups from August as well). I then proceeded to to Erase All Content and Settings on current iphone and then restored all my data from icloud on my new phone. Only to find that everything is gone, my photos, notes, contacts everything is missing.

I was able to log into icloud from my pc and restore my contacts and files, but my photos and notes are gone with the wind. I cant see what I could have done wrong. I didn't manually delete any photos, i simply used the 'Erase All Content and Settings' option after running my Backup. Also none of my backups are showing, not the one from the 14th of September or the ones made in August :-(

I really hope there is still a way i would be able to salvage my notes and photos? Please please help
