Tell Apple here:

Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Be specific about what you like and what you don't; if you just say it's "horrible" or a "nightmare" that's not constructive and so nothing can be done with that.

Say what you would like it to look like or how you want it to operate.

No one here can do anything about it.

The great thing about computers is that the people writing the software can make changes in how they work. That doesn't always translate into "every user gets every customization option they want".

Apple don’t dictate give me options.

Of course they do, at least on the hardware and software they produce.

So Apple has written, tested, and released two interfaces for their calendar. Now they just need to add a button to select option A or B.

I'd guess what actually happened is Apple implemented something they thought was cool (scrollers) and, then, after years of people complaining about them, they changed to something else.

Let me ask again, Apple don’t dictate, give us options.

This is Apple we're talking about here. They don't generally give options.

Who wins when you pit one set of customers against another?

That's too silly a question to take seriously. Apple is doing what Apple always does. If you think you're "pitted" against other customers, well, no one here is qualified to help you.

Totally agree the new format for setting time is rubbish . Forget it. I’ve started writing the time in with each event title-otherwise it takes FOREVE.

scrolling is a wild snd random experience and trying to put time in ...using keyboard .... what? . So i click on time and see ‘starts’ all I see is a time - the wrong time ? No option to input. I click on the the wrong time snd up comes THE kEYBOARD?? tap the wrong side of the box snd you’re done for.

More taps required to do the job than with previous incarnation . The wheel thing is age-ist ... too small. And alternative is simply awful

Calendar App

in particular the “ time of event” function. Truly dire in its latest incarnation.

we all acknowledge the need to update for security or innovative reasons; but to “mess around” with some core features is just needless.

One of the reasons Apple has its loyal user base is because it is a known quantity, a friendly intuitive OS and legendary reliability.

I hope someone with some power to change reads these threads and remembers that maybe only a fraction of a percent take the time to post these queries, many tens/hundreds of thousands suffer in silence.

Indeed, I suspect it was changed because so many users complained about endlessly spinning those horrible “slot machine” dials that took forever to get to the right time.

Gosh but I hated them. I had a talent for spinning them in the direction most likely to take me longer and then spinning past where I wanted to stop. And, half the time, your finger ended up covering things. Good riddance.

OK, first, each release of a major update is used by several million beta testers over a 3 month or longer period. “Point” releases are also beta tested, but typically for only a month.

BTW, “Several” will be roughly the number of times you have posted to the thread. It’s a year’s old bug in the forum software.

The main issue is HAVING TO SCROLL DOWN TO FIND (and figure out) the END time. THEY USED TO BE NEXT TO EACH OTHER.. And clearly visible to each other.

NOW, After entering the start time THE CALENDAR POPS UP IN THE WAY... then I have to scroll down to Find End time... it’s just messy and NON -INTUITIVE..

POOR DESIGN.

I usually have already have started on the date.. I just want a quick time in & out and done.. ... I don’t want to have to find it.

Hate it hate it hate it..
