iOS 14 text notification issues

There aren't 1,000s in this thread and on a lot of other sites it is repeats. Since this "bug" as you call it is not affecting 100% of iPhones the only way for Apple engineers to deal with it is to be able to see logs from phones that are having the problem. Have you contacted Apple support?

I think you nailed it. Just yesterday I reset my phone. The reset took out several apps and I noticed 2 were updating themselves when the phone restarted. So, it could have been one of the apps that did not reload or, the updates. The phone works great now.

I do not believe that is true. No notifications is no notifications. Something is triggering this bug. We have discussed setting all the way to eliminating apps to resetting the phone. Many of us have talked with Apple and climbed the totem pole with different "levels" from tech support and from what I can easily assume, no one got anywhere. Lastly, every time some is told they have a different problem , as you say, with notifications, and follow your or someones advice, it winds up making it worse. I would not recommend anyone make all these changes you and some others have suggested. I have not heard one person any of it helped but made it worse. My advice is to log all the complaints, call Apple to make a complaint and hopefully, Apple will get the idea and get to a fix.

LOL, are your really with a Fire Department. Do you have in iWatch? If so what company made it as Apple doesn't sell an iWatch. And now you are saying that 200 million people or so all have the same problem? Really.

And no, I've had 3 watches. If you set up the Apple Watch as designed when you are wearing it notifications will be sent to the Watch, not the iPhone. This was the intended operation from the very first Watch. There are kludges around to make it sound on both (thus irritating everyone around you) but you lose a lot of Watch functions when you use them. I've told you before this thread gets polluted when these type of posts are added to it.

So this issue has been ongoing since September, and Apple has been notified many times. It's kind of obvious that this will not get fixed, and Support doesn't know what to do about it.

We users are all alone on this one. Maybe iOS 15 will fix it.

It's not the model of the iPhone. It's the version of iOS across Apples iPhone line. Started with iOS 13.something and continues to this day. Apparently Apple isn't interested in fixing the issue judging by the number of releases since people have started complaining about the issue.

Meanwhile, Technical Support continues to act surprised when cases are opened on the issue. I've already gone up the support ladder more than 6 months ago and logged a "bug" report supposedly with engineering. Still waiting on a fix. If it doesn't come before my iPhone is obsoleted, I'll give Samsung/Android a try.

i'm having the same issue. it just randomly started while i'm on the phone. it was working fine and now i don't receive any sound notification nor does it vibrate anymore.

I have the same. Wired headphones, no bluetooth. When making phone call I receive no notifications of any kind. When phone not in use, I get all notifications.

I agree. I hope this is a bug and not an intentional feature. I’m patiently waiting...

I am told that the fix is in the .2 Beta. Am not part of the Beta program so I will wait a few weeks.
