iOS 14 text notification issues

I’m also having the same issue on my iPhone XSMAX and it’s driving me insane! My boyfriend keeps thinking I’m ignoring him. His mobile is a Samsung and I don’t know when he’s texting or ringing me or anybody else!

I am having same issues. Ever since iOS 14 came out and the problem I also have is I’ll text someone back and there is a delay. I can’t see what I text and have to wait 1-1.5 minutes for it to kinda unfreeze and show it. It’s horrible, apple needs to fix or moving to android! I have the 12 pro max so very disappointed!

I’m having the same issue also. Although mine has just started within the last 2 weeks. I’ve missed several important message by not receiving a sound or vibrate notification. On the occasion I’ll have a banner pop up but not often. Apple needs to fix this bug ASAP!

Having the same issue. It’s a terrible update, I’ve been missing important texts for work because I don’t receive the notification and it doesn’t sit on the Lock Screen. Moreover, I’ll think someone hasn’t responded to me so I follow up with them hours later just to find out they responded four hours ago. This needs to be fixed or able to turn on and off for those that do like it.

I don’t get any text notifications. But will open a message I have with someone and will have texts I never got notified for. Not helpful. Phone doesn’t show banners or badges of notifications for messages either

This is absolutely absurd, I didn’t pay $1800 for a phone that doesn’t serve its main purpose, which is communication.

This has been an ongoing issue for months for some people and nothing has been done about it?

I have reset the **** out of my phone, which lead to a high level of inconvenience and I’m still not receiving the correct notifications.

My main form of communication is through text messaging, I can’t very well ask lawyers to communicate quickly with me through Facebook effing messenger.

As soon as I downloaded ios14 I stopping getting a lot of text notifications. I don’t get a sound, nor a banner. I don’t even register that these messages haven’t even been opened yet. I am missing messages for holiday planning, wedding planning, and work messages for hours...I have to actually intentionally open the text string to even see that I have messages with no indication that anything has been left unread. It’s super frustrating. When is this going to be fixed?? It’s seriously impacting my job.

i have an iPhone XS Max which I adore but i get texts little by little or none at all . All this has happened since the IOS update I’m now IOS 14.2 and it’s causing helluva lot of problems! Can Apple sort it out!?!?!?!!!!

It’s been a month what’s a few more days? (I’m very irritated too but realize there is nothing I can do at this point). Unless you’re registered as a beta tester there is no way to get it before official release, which will be Monday. I’ve seen mixed things in forums on Macrumors from users who have 14.3-some say it’s fixed, others reported it isn’t... so I wouldn’t set expectations too high just yet.

This feels like that there is a fix and Apple is holding back because of dumb policies. This is affecting my business as well as my personal life. Additionally this may not fix the problem, which means were waiting even longer to correct the problem. I think an effort should be made to release 14.3 to me today.

Me as well. I don’t understand how this is A PART of an update. It’s frustrating especially as I rely on text messages as a big part of my business correspondence. My clients are not receiving timely responses.

I did the update because my keyboard was lagging when I was texting. This problem started coming up too. I randomly will not get any notification of a new text and it appears like somebody already opened it! It isn’t isolated to one contact, but is for random texts I get. Very frustrating!!

I am having the same issue. I don’t seem to get text notifications.... I reset my network settings and it was fine for a day or two but now gone back to the same problem. My husband is also experiencing the same problem with messages from me...

Me too, this has been happening since I updated to iOS 14.2. Only messages is affected. I have it set to show on the Lock Screen, show banners, and badges. It has happened randomly with all types of messages (text messages, iMessages, group messages) that I get zero notifications and it sits there looking like I’ve already opened and read it. Apple please fix this!!

I have placed feedback (as was suggested early on in this thread) but that clearly has not made an impact at this stage. I am trying to look at my phone less, but now I am having to look at it more to check if I have a reply to a text message. Nearly fired someone because I thought they were ignoring me... Whoops!

I am having the issue only with text message, with various contacts.
