iOS 14 text notification issues

I’ve been having the same issue for months. Thought i was nuts but clearly seeing this thread I’m far from the only one. I have missed so many important texts and I’m getting really aggravated. I’m using an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.2. This has been happening for a while and updating software never fixes it. Will update to 14.3 but don’t expect any solution. Seriously considering switching to a Samsung which I do NOT want to do, but if that’s what it takes to be able to actually be alerted to text messages I’ll make the switch. This is ridiculous.

i’m having the same issue, missing notifications— and i’m even missing texts from a couple of different people. i just got a new iphone se a few days, and am missing texts and notifications! running ios 14.3. unhappy.

Well I feel for you. Yeah I get nothing no sounds no banners I do get a flag telling me there’s a message but I would not know if I didn’t see it so every once a while I have to pick up my phone to see if anyone has sent me a text I reset reset my watch turn it off and it still doesn’t work however the messages do go to my computer so I can hear my laptop Digging away That’s how I know I have a message

Just out of curiosity is this a problem for people who also don’t have Apple watches attached to their phone? I’m wondering if it’s only sending the notification to the Apple Watch and the Apple Watch is messing up notifying you

I wrote too soon. The latest update seemed to work at first. Now it's not working. I'm not getting alerts/notifications regularly and if I do, they're often not the sound I've assigned to my contacts. I called Apple support and they just want me to do a restore, which I can see from what's been written will not help. I'll use the link above to make another complaint.

I have exactly the same problem. I bought my iphone less than three months ago and I have already had it checked twice at the store andI have talked to phone supporte at least five times, I have followed all the recommendations and nothing works. It is very frustrating and absurd that apple insists on telling me that my phone does not have any hardware problems and therefore they cannot apply my warranty.

Yeah, seemingly random drop of notifications on my iPhone 10 Xr. Super annoying. I can't for the life of me imagine it being intentional. There are settings for that! Puhleeeze, Apple, patch this already! Thank you.

I think it is so cute the way all y'all the Apple users trying to be so nice and not say what you r e a l l y mean. Especially since this annoying bug has been going for a couple weeks? Has it been a month yet? Maybe longer. Notifications are pretty important. Apple does nothing, says nothing, releases nothing. What a long strange trip it's been...

This is a big negative ghost rider, sorry to say that this doesn’t even work. I have all banners/badges turned on, alerts & a sound selected - and still I only receive alerts/notifications for about 25% of my messages. Glad it worked for your guy though! I’m still SOL and it’s becoming rather apparent Apple doesn’t give a rat about this thread. Everyday I get 20+ notifications that others’ have posted in the thread they’re having the same experience and yet still, Apple has done nothing to solve the problem.

I am having this notification issue with most of the apps like Instagram, Snapchat, sometimes WhatsApp too. The notification for these apps does not appear in notification centre, lock screen or banners. Steps I’ve tried:

1.) Checking the settings of notifications in general and as well as for apps individually.

2.) Re-install apps.

3.) Formatted my iPhone.

4.) Online technical assistance for iPhone.

None of it worked. And I don’t think apple is even considering this an issue. Forget fixing it, they aren’t even acknowledging it. If it is not fixed in the next update, I will be shifting to android. I hope everybody does the same, so that apple start taking its customers seriously.

I'm often not getting my iMessage notifications! The only way to find out about a new message is to regularly check the Messages app, which is ultra-frustrating. How is it possible that this has not yet been fixed? Are they serious about it?! Any confirmation that this bug has even been acknowledged?

After reading your messages, at least I realized I'm not alone wiht this issue. The question is, why that happens only in certeain iPhones, my daughter, my niece, two of my best friends don't have that problem.

This is my first iPhone, I have a Xiaomi 5 times less expensive, that works perfectly in the same network. I think it is my first and my last... so sad.

I have called apple support five times and I have followed all the configuration instructions they have given me, I have taken the phone for diagnosis in the store, twice. I have reset it twice and it still doesn't work.. The answer they give to me is that the phone NEVER fail to them and due to the PERFECT status of the hardware, they can't do nothing.

They will only be aware of it if you send them a notification stating your problem on one of the links previously posted. From what I understand these forms are not monitored by Apple. I have sent them two or three notices so they’ve got mine :-)

Hi! I own an iPhone SE running iOS 14.3. Recently, I become aware that no notification sounds when the device is blocked, even with the option "sound when blocked" is enabled. I hope this will be solved soon! Anyway, I have to check permanently the screen to follow chats and alarm timers are useless :(
