After updating to iOS 14 i can’t copy and paste anymore. I’ve updated all the apps. When trying to copying I do not get the select or select all feature.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!
I was having an issue similar to this thread: I cannot paste my copied text from one application to another application
For me I was able to see the "copy" option... but the "paste" option would only show up after my 2nd or 3rd attempt trying to copy/paste from one app to another... and also sometimes in the same app. This was happening in native Apple apps as well as 3rd party apps.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro running the latest iOS so there's no reason I should have been having these issues. I spent 40 mins on a chat with an Apple agent who kept asking the same questions but no resolution.
So I kept searching and found THIS ARTICLE!! And that's where I finally... after 3 or 4 months... found the solution!!!
"For some users, disabling and then re-enabling the Universal Clipboard seems to fix this issue. To do so, you need to disable the Handoff feature. Go to Settings > General > Handoff > Uncheck. After this, log out of your iCloud account and restart your device. Once it reboots, login back to the iCloud. Then check if the Copy and Paste not working issue after the iOS 14 update is fixed or not."
I'm not sure if that alone solved my problem so I'll also share the other two things I did, as well...
I followed the above instructions and before restarting my phone and logging back into iCloud here's what I did:
Go to Settitngs > General > Reset
Then I shut down my phone... then restarted... then logged back into iCloud... and I'm back in business. After 4 months of being incredibly frustrated, I finally have copy/paste working again properly!
I wish I had this solution 4 months ago!
SOLVED - switch from Apple Mail to the Gmail App.
I did - I stopped using Apple native mail program and switched to the Gmail application.
Yep got mind worked out also, it was only not working in the silly Facebook app. It was another good reason to delete FB app from device.. All working excellent
WoW this Thread has taken on a life of its own..Apple needs to make a statement and answer some of our question..My issue ceased when I stopped using fb app on devices..

Most apps. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok. I can copy after posting in some but if I am typing and want to copy I don’t get the option like before. Frustrating because dimes times I only want to copy a section and not the entire post.
And I can get the select and select all options, but once I select the text I want, I don't get an option to copy, cut, etc. I don't get any options at all. Except that once in awhile - maybe 1 time out of 5 - I do. So I just keep selecting and re-selecting and RE-SELECTING the text I want to copy over and over, in hopes that THIS TIME the **** menu will appear. Maddening.
Also since iOS14 update. These $1k phones just get more and more unusable with each update.
I have the same issue most of the commenters are having, as well. My issue is on apps/sites like Facebook.. I can’t select anything that’s already posted to copy and paste. It’s very frustrating! I can, however, use it in Notes and the text messaging box while I’m typing and can copy and paste after it’s sent, as well. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’m running iOS 14.3 but it’s been an issue for some time now. I used to be able to do it with no problems at all with my old phone, which was using an older iOS.. since getting this phone and since the iOS 14, I’ve had problems with it. I did figure out how to work the touchy select/select all/copy/paste feature when it’s already highlighted on some apps and pages, but on Facebook it won’t even highlight anything. I’ve wanted to use it so many times but can’t. Will this be fixed soon? It’s rather annoying when I should be able to, and used to be able to, but now I can’t.. brand new phone and it won’t even let me select to copy and paste!
P.S. Restarting my phone won’t do anything for it.. it’s been rebooted many times...
I have already updated my phone to iOS 14.1 and my copy/paste feature still does not work. I have tried it on Messaging and on the Facebook app.
I have lost the copy and paste feature after upgrading software to 14.1.
I updated to 14.0.1 and I am unable to use copy/paste, select, select all....very frustrating
in apps it is not working like that. It only works in Apple apps. Not in anything else.

It appears you have to tap and then double tap for copy and paste to show up. It used to be press and hold but not anymore!?!!??!
