Just so we're being honest on this, this is a work around, not a fix. They obviously introduced a bug somewhere along the way that needs to be fixed.

Yes, the lag in Notes makes it unusable now, far worse than the lag in text messages, which itself is beyond bad.

I didn’t want to mark this as helpful, but if you want to stop the notifications, look into your profile settings or profile / subscriptions and leave the thread there..

My keyboard is still lagging. So annoying

The keyboard of my iPad lags. It is late to respond when I am typing .

Its severe. And even when i use the qr code scanner it will take a while to capture it. such an embarassment for an iphone user

Same problem after any of those temporary if at all solutions suggested. Total garbage now. Dysfunctional delays in imessaging mms sms Texting .... 5-10 second delays & deletions at random ....

Same here! Just signed up community account to complain this! It really annoying and distrupe my productivity when working on my phone. Also really bad there is no way I can switch back to iOS13! How come Apple will launch a big version upgrades with such bad UX issues? Really cannot image how Apple differently than in the past.

It's not slight lag for me... Ever since i updated to iOS14 beta, it has been sooo lagging. I was hoping the official version would fix it... but it has been such a disappointment. I had to literately switch to Mac to use iMessage so i am not so frustrated typing on my iPhone 11... It is bad typing in English, much worse typing Chinese.

The worst thing is it is so not consistent. Sometimes it is fine, but sometimes it is just so lagging.

I appear to have found a fix. I performed a Forced Restart of my phone followed by resetting my keyboard dictionary. I lost all the custom words I've added to my phone dictionary, but I no longer have the lag. I've been using it for a few hours since performing this workaround and so far it's been very responsive.

Give it a day. It’ll come back. Worked for me at first too. Although weird is that it didn’t delete all my saved dictionary words I put in there. But I reset it like three times and the lag went away but came back today.

Hello, apple support, can you please look into this? It is truly exasperating. It took me three times the time to write this message with my lagging keyboard. What is up with the iOS version. Is this lag done on purpose to make our phones obsolete? I am seriously considering switching to an android phone.

Ok it def has to do with iMessage and pics I think. I just sent a pic and as I went to type after it sent I got massive lag. Went into another app and as I got the iMessage banner pop up, it lagged in that app. It hasn’t lagged since last night when I had another picture heavy threads going. very odd. This thread only had two pics in it but it happened right after I sent it. COME ON APPLE this can’t be that hard to debug. If this isn’t fixed by 14.2 I’m done, back to android, cancel iCloud sub. Not worth the aggravation when the last time I had a laggy android keyboard was 2012.
