WhatsApp Calling not working after iOS14 Update

Same exact problem! No fix. iPhone 12 Pro Max - SIM + eSIM (if that counts .. )

Tried:

• Reinstall WA
• Reset network settings
• Multiple reboot

Calls on 4G are working fine. Calls on WiFi througn VPN, are working fine. Disabling VPN, causes infinite "reconnecting" issue.

No WhatsApp setting on Privacy>Network. No opt-in after reinstall.

Exactly my problem. No way of getting WhatsApp to pop up the question ‘ do you want to give permission to access Local Network?’

I am communicating with WhatsApp help department at present but no help from them yet.

Thanks a ton dude. This method worked for me. Turn on local network while you open WhatsApp in settings. Thats it !

Local Network Should be set to ON for WhatsApp in settings.

I have the exact issue. Whatsapp calling stopped working. I can’t accept the calls nor make it .

turning off/on local network in whatsapp setting does not help

Take setting go to WhatsApp and switch on local network option. Both caller and receiver should do same problem will be solved.

This should only be an issue for ios 14 and not Androids.

This is really bizarre as when I turned on local network it worked fine...

Are you saying to have the Local Network toggle on or off? Mine was off and have turned it on but unsure if you have said having it on or off sorted it for you

Same problem. Where does local network appear as cannot find it.

switching “Local Network” to “On” for whatsapp solved the issue for me too

It did not work the only way I can use whatsapp is to shut WiFi off

I suggest that you go to “Settings” and click on “WhatsApp”. There you will see “Allow WhatsApp to access” under which one of the options is “Local Network”. Toggle switch to on.

It should work.
