Ever since I upgraded to iOS 14, my iPhone does not show the geotag location at the top of each picture. Only the date and time it was taken. My camera settings are correct and my location settings are accurate, but it won’t show the location on the photos. The photos I have that were taken before installing iOS 14 show the location and geotag still. But any picture taken since the upgrade does not show the location.
I talked with Apple Support and this issue is now fixed on my IPhone 11 Pro, OS 14.01
You have to go into Privacy again, and then toggle the Location off and then back on. Then the camera icon will now appear under Privacy, so then click on Camera, then select allow location while using device. That fixed it. Before the Camera icon wasn't appearing under Privacy. So, toggling location off and then on again somehow reset it.
Apple told me that this is a known issue, instead.
Tell him make another picture and send it to you.
iOS 14.2 is out.
Did someone check if it solved the issue ?

6 months later and this bug is still not fixed in iOS 14.4.2, yet geotags are display correctly in older versions of iOS on a different device.
I have the exact same issue on my work iPhone (iPhone 7). I upgraded my work iPhone to see if iOS 14 had any major flaws before updating my iPhone 11 Pro Max and all of a sudden geotags on photos stopped. I have checked all settings and everything is correct. What is odd is that the photo will capture the location, but will not display the geotag, only the date and time the photo was taken.
I just updated my iPhone 7 to iOS 14.0.1 and this did not solve the geotag issue. I have no idea what is wrong other than there must be something wrong with iOS 14 itself.
Anyway, I removed and put back the albums in my iPhone syncing by cable, now as per the screenshot that I attach, the position is right, but the place of the old albums also does not appear on the top of each photo, only the date and time, as the new ones in ioS/iPadOs 14.0 and 14.0.1.
I have the same frustrating problem. When I take a photo with my iPhone 11, the location is clearly seen but when the photo appears on my iPad there is no location shown. This only happened after I upgraded to iOS14 on both iPhone and iPad. Come on Apple fix this obvious bug!
It is hard to say, if "known issue" means a bug or an inconvenient new feature. We'll have to wait and see. Let's hope for the best.

I have the same problem and have tried editing the location on my Mac (which still correctly shows location information in the info tab), all edits to location on the Mac show up correctly in the swipe up map on both iPad and iPhone, but the location information that used to show at the top of the photo will not display - this also applies to quite a few photos taken in the last 2 weeks that were correctly showing location information until iOS 14.0.1. I contacted Apple today - the agent did not seem to know about the problem and could not find any engineering updates. This is a major feature for me; I hope it gets fixed asap.
I'm sorry but I'm more than sure Apple won't fix this "problem". I still can't understand how nobody noticed this "bug" when iOS 14 was still in beta....If I knew this problem I would never updated my phone and whatch and now I'm struck for more than 2 weeks without solution. It's so sick
I followed your link and left feedback 3 days ago and case is still open o. It's not a new feauture. It worked perfect with iOS 11, 12, 13 etc I just can't understard how they ruined it and can't fix it.

For me the photos are very important and when I travel I like the photo title with the place
I noticed a lot of people having the issue with photos not geotagging location anymore after updating to iOS 14 on their phones. I have an IPhone SE . I liked this featured very much and not happy it’s gone. Even when I swipe on my photos it only shows the map. No location.. I tried contact to apple but they couldn’t fix the issue over the phone. I’m going to the store to show what’s going on. All my privacy and location settings are turned on. In system settings i turned on the status bar location. I have turned off and restarted the phone. Nothing will work. Very frustrating. Wonder if this is permanent.?
I certainly hope this is not permanent! Would be very disappointing if Apple has removed such a useful feature (seeing date, time and location of photos at a glance) without giving any information/explanation and/or prior warning.
I have the same problem too. After upgrading to iOS, iPadOS 14 and watchOS 7, all my devices went totally wrong. No geotags on iP XR and iPad PRO, can' t see all Albums in Photos, AW 3 switching off and restarting all the time. Thank you very much Apple! This really "just works".
