Red dot on I phone when making calls ?
Updated my iPhone 10 with latest update & now when im making calls there is a red dot on upper right corner ?
Have it your way. Its red. But it still just means that the microphone is on.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It’s understandable that you’d want to know what the dot is that you see while one calls.

means the microphone is being used by an app on your iPhone.” Status icons and symbols on your iPhone

Just wondering if it’s because the microphone is being used why is it red on phone calls and green when taking a video on camera which surely is the same thing as it’s being used.
Red = mic being used
Green = mic and camera being used.
